First Magnitude Brewing Co. Wins Award at World Beer Cup®

First Magnitude Brewing Company claimed a coveted silver award in the “Olympics of beer,” the 2018 World Beer Cup, a global beer competition that evaluates beers from around the world and recognizes the most outstanding brewers and their beers.

Awards were given during the World Beer Cup award ceremony on May 3, 2018 at Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn.

First Magnitude was awarded a silver award in one of the most heavily contested categories, the Golden or Blonde Ale beer style, for its Vega Blonde Ale, a balanced, easy drinking beer that has been a hit in the Florida market since it was first offered when the brewery opened in 2014. First Magnitude is a 15-bbl craft brewery located in Gainesville that is rooted in making great beers, supporting our community, and celebrating the great outdoors. This was their first time competing in the World Beer Cup.
